blankets for babies… or to cover adult toes

Now mind you, I don’t have a baby, and the fact that I’ve made baby blankets is not supposed to tell anyone anything… they just happened to be a sewing project I tried out recently. The small size makes it a manageable project, and if it doesn’t turn out, then you haven’t wasted too much fabric!

I made these two blankets out of Amy Butler fabrics – one out of Acanthus Olive and the other with the Okra Seeds fabric. Both have a cream/white fleece backing. This is definitely the kind of blanket I’d love to curl up on the couch with… although in this smallish size, I guess it would only cover a small part of my body. I’m happy with how these turned out though, so perhaps I’ll consider making myself an adult-sized blanket…

I’ll be back soon with another baby project, and hopefully the final sets of napkins that I was supposed to finish over the weekend…
