I have been searching for one of these, but the only place I have found one is at Hobby Lobby, but they normally only have one in stock at a time, and I didn't like the print on it, so I am just holding out...until I find the perfect one!!! Like this one...

It seems everyone has one of the knitting bags, as I do too, but I think you found the diamond in the rough with that awesome hexagon fabric on it!! If you're not going to use it for what it was made, at least you have some fun fabric to use for your quilts! hehe

My mom has one of those folding knitting bags. I've been wanting one and I really like yours, what a great deal! I think they are especially great for camping or just going to the park because you can have all your knitting or whatever craft supplies, but you don't have to worry about your bag getting dirty on the ground. Your picnic blanket looks so inviting!

Great yard sale find! I have a little folding bag thingie like that too, except mine is brown and yellow 70s glory. It came from my husband's grandmother, and yes, she kept all her knitting supplies in it. It doesn't match ANYTHING in my home, of course, but I can't help keeping it around.

I'm amazed at the number of people who commented on the framed bag.

I have had two of my granny's - one holding yarn of course (the other somewhere in the garage.) I have always wondered if the frame was bought with instructions and they used whatever fabric they had on hand (saw one at my great aunt's house as well.)

All the ones I've ever seen have been different fabrics but the same exact frame with the little plastic loop. I've also always wondered if the fabric strap (I see one also inside yours) simply goes through the loop so it's easy to carry around with one hand (I suspect yours doesn't button closed either...)
