My grandfather passed away this weekend. I don’t think I can fully express what a caring, generous, hardworking, and wonderful man he was, so instead I’ll simply tell you how much he will be missed. Very very very much.

I am SO SO sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you and your family during this hard time.
Since my parents were a little older than usual when I was born, I lost my grandparents when I was very young. I’m a grandma now, and if he loved you as much as I love my grandchildren, you must have felt cocooned with love, and you could do no wrong in his eyes! A grandparent’s love is all encompassing, and, surprisingly to me, so different (in a good way)from the love I have for my own kids.

I want to say how sorry I am. My father-in-law passed away on Valentine’s Day. The last week has been extremely hard on the family. Especially for the grandkids trying to come to terms with dealing with death (most for the first). My thoughts are with your family, who is greiving just like we are.

Such a huge loss, I hope you and your family can enjoy memories of him. My only grandparents died when I was young so I didn’t get to know them, but the memories I do have are very precious. I hope your grandmother is doing alright surrounded by all her family and friends. I cannot and do not want to imagine losing my husband. Take care.
