…or a blogger, actually, so I can’t guarantee that there will be many of these posts. I may surprise myself though – I didn’t think I’d enjoy sewing as much as I do either. Sewing is actually a new hobby, and I still maintain that I can only sew items that only involve straight lines.
Designer fabrics have become my new weakness – the colors and patterns make me happy, even when just folded in a big pile, as below.

Flour sack towels!

That’s a lot of fabric…I can only imagine what the rest of your house looks like! I’m waiting for a hat.
How funny that you posted this a year and a half ago, and now look where you are! I can’t wait to look back on my blog after a few years. I was never good at keeping a journal, but blogging is so much more fun!
Oh my goodness, this is hilarious! So funny that this is how it all began
That very same fabric got me into this, too.
Hook, line and sinker.
What did we do before we quilted??
You had great taste, right from the start.
you truly are an amazing quilter and seamstress now….and are probably a little poorer too (thanks to that designer fabric weakness)
This was fun to read. I can not believe you have come so far. I have been a seamstress for 35 or more years and am just now attempting the quilting thing. I have fallen in love with all the designer fabrics and have lots in my stash. I just haven’t finished a quilt yet. Congratulations on how far you have come. Jodieth
How exciting! My colours and type of fabric – sheer bliss. Thank you my sweet.
It’s amazing to look at your blog and imagine that you were in the same place I am in now, two years ago. You are one of my inspirations and if I even achieve 1/10th of what you have in two years time I will be delighted. I just started my blog a few days ago.
I would love to win one of the prizes. Your blog and quilts are inspiring me so much…thanks.

This post is so humble and cute! Congrats on your two year anniversary!
We moved to the states 2 years ago and I fell for the same Amy butler fabric! Nice taste!
Awesome and inspirational to see how your journey started and how far you’ve come. I only recently started quilting myself and can only hope that in 2 years time I’m half as good. Thanks for sharing your journey!!
Well well, look at how far you have come! I think all those Amy Butler fabrics have been through my sewing room – gorgeous!!
