Oh so cute! I have to say it, even though I was the one to make the skirt. (Nothing like gushing over your own projects…) In any case, I made this skirt at the end of last week so I’d have something to wear to the beach. It’s very similar to the previous skirt – shown here – though I made some changes so it would fit more to my liking. I adjusted the total length of the skirt so I could wear it on my hips. (I spent too much time rolling the elastic band down on the first skirt so it would sit where I wanted). The ruffle along the bottom is the same, though I used a different fabric this time. In all actuality, I only had enough of the Optic Blossom fabric to just squeeze out enough material for the skirt part, so the ruffle had to be made of a corresponding fabric. I love these Amy Butler prints together though, so it worked out perfectly. This time the ruffle was attached underneath, and I’m still not sure which I prefer. I’m already thinking about what fabric to use for the next skirt… can you have too many of the same skirt? probably…

Back from vacation with rick rack tablecloths to show off
Self-imposed deadlines… (what was I thinking?!)

These ruffled skirts are SO cute!! You could even make them reversable! I am
so stealing this idea; skirts are all I wear all summer…
