New York City was great fun – lots to do and see, and even though we only saw a really, really small portion of it, we had a lot of fun!
Thank you to everyone who left such nice comments and congratulations. I enjoyed reading each and every one and I love that so many people took the time to leave a comment.
The lack of details was simply due to a lack of time, though it seems as though it’s led everyone to believe that I have a super story to tell… I’m afraid you won’t be getting that… I didn’t choke on the ring in my dessert, he didn’t propose while skydiving, or in neon lights in the middle of Times Square…
Instead, due to Morgan’s fear of the ring being pulled out of his bag during the security check and having to propose right there with the airport security guards (that might have made for an interesting story!), he called me downstairs at 6 am on the morning we were due to leave for New York. I was still in the middle of packing and dressing, and still not quite awake, and was taken completely by surprise when he dropped to one knee and pulled out a ring.
So there you have it — no huge story…
…but still perfect.
A perfect proposal…
A trip to the city

AWW! I think it is the PERFECT proposal-how lucky!
Soooo sweet! Congratulations
Absolutely perfect! Congrats to you, both.
Thanks for the details! One knee, a ring, and a proposal from a wonderful, committed guy — it doesn’t get more perfect!
Oh so perfect! Yay!
That is a sweet story. Congrats!
I agree. It’s perfect.
How sweet! I’m sure you were wide awake after that question, no? The ring is gorgeous, and that will be story you will tell many many times. Congrats!
Love the details on the proposal; I always figured you’d elope and then tell us!
Congrats Ash! I am so excited for you! Hope to see you soon!!
